In 1995 David Frederickson and Mistina La Fave met in the town where Jesse James died.

That line is so awesome, we need not say more....

That's where they decided to go to a pawn shop, get guitars and learn to play. Soon they would play shows and make demo cassettes... this is where This-a-Way was born-- on handmade cassettes given away at their first shows. For a while it was just a label for The Prids.

For over 10 years Mistina and David have booked their own tours, recorded their own music and promoted their band nationally. Being huge music fans as well, and watching the music industry change dramatically- what better a time than NOW to make This-a-Way a collective of artists who retain 100% of the rights to their music?

Working together, using our various and vast knowledge of the industry to promote one another. We have film makers, booking agents, recording engineers, web designers, screen printing-button making-- We're a self-contained band promotion unit. It's a label, but it's a collective. It's the future, it's true DIY.
